Elizabeth Launches a Site for Those Who Have Mastered the Fundamentals and Are Ready To Tackle More Meaty Issues

I can’t tell you how excited I am about our newest vehicle for assisting hardworking, dedicated housing professionals in staying at the top of their game. All professionals – no matter what industry they are in – need professional development... an opportunity to keep their knowledge and skills fresh… a way to learn and discuss the latest information and changes in their industry… and a forum for discussing these issues with their peers. 

Doctors do. As do attorneys and accountants. And so do Housing Credit Professionals. 

Unfortunately, however, as often happens in our whirlwind industry, such development is often lacking. Partly because of convenience. Partly because of availability. But mainly because of time! 

Sometimes the lessons will be comprised of articles I think are important for the subscribers to read… other times it may be a short course on an important subject. And of course, if the lesson is focused on a newly published Revenue Ruling, Procedure or regulation, it will include the actual published document and a discussion of its impact on your business!

As a subscriber, you will receive a personal email from me each time a new lesson is posted. But, again, remember, these lessons will remain available to you until December 31, so if you currently find yourself embroiled in the latest rent-up or are busy putting fires out, just note a new lesson has been posted and access it when things calm down a bit!

The NCP Bulletin Board is also available so subscribers may post questions, comments and start discussions regarding the lessons contain in the NCP Development Center or regarding our industry in general. A great way to stay in touch with your peers and learn how others are handling or have handled the same situation you are now facing.

And finally, as part of the Center's mission to create an interactive forum for Tax Credit professionals, I will set up regular Live Chats on specific topics so that interested subscribers can discuss the topic at hand in more depth and glean how other professionals are handling the issue. And once again as a subscriber you will receive an email as Chats are scheduled so you can determine if this is a topic of interest and plan for it in your schedule.

• Join the NCP Membership Group at the Silver or Gold level.

  • By joining the NCP Membership Group at the Silver or Gold level, you automatically become enrolled in the NCP Professional Development Center for that membership year. You also receive the additional tools that come along with that membership level. These additional tools change each year but always include access to the NCP Professional Development Center as well as a 1 year subscription to our newsletter The Compliance Monitor.

  • It does not matter if you join at the Silver or Gold level as both come with access to the NCP Professional Development Center for the remainder of the calendar year. Pick the level that best suits you and gives you the biggest bang for your buck!

  • Now don't worry if you are not an National Compliance Professional now. You can still join the NCP Membership Group and receive access to the NCP Professional Development Center. You will join as an NCP -Candidate. Then, once you become a fully blown National Compliance Professional, you can upgrade to NCP or NCP-Executive at no additional charge. You can even remain an NCP-Candidate indefinitely if you choose.
